Khushi Mali Replaces Palak Sindhwani; ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ Gets New Sonu

Popular Indian sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” (TMKOC) has some of the latest news. Khushi Mali has been announced as the new Sonu Bhide for the Sony series, replacing Palak Sindhwani. This change comes after Palak Sindhwani’s five-year tenure on the show.

A New Face for Sonu Bhide

Khushi Mali, a model-turned-actress, is set to bring a fresh perspective to the character of Sonu Bhide. Known for her previous work in “Sajha Sindoor”, Khushi expressed her excitement about joining the TMKOC family. “Portraying Sonu’s role will be interesting because she has many attributes. Also, being a part of Taarak Mehta is a blessing and a great opportunity.

With Khushi Mali stepping into the role of Sonu Bhide,

Producer’s Perspective

Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer of TMKOC, emphasized the importance of Sonu’s character in the show. “Sonu is a vital part of the Tapu Sena; her presence has always shown leadership and warmth. Casting Khushi Mali was a careful decision; we believe she perfectly captures these traits.

“We are excited to welcome Khushi and will fully support her as she brings this character to life. We hope our audience will give her the same love they have shown to the show and its characters for the past 16 years,” Modi stated.

Palak Sindhwani’s Departure

Palak Sindhwani, who played Sonu Bhide for the last five years, recently announced her departure from the show.

Her exit has not been without controversy, as she is currently embroiled in a legal battle with the show’s makers. Palak has accused the producers of making her exit difficult and has been issued a notice of breach of contract.
