Taiwanese electronics manufacturer ASUS, on August 17, 2017, unveiled four new smartphones from its Zenfone 4 segment; the Zenfone Max, the Zenfone 4 Max Pro, the Zenfore 4, the Zenfone 4 Selfie, and Zenfore 4 Selfie Pro. The prices for these gadgets starts from as low as $279 for the ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie, and it can go as higher as $599 for the highly advanced Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro.
The dual camera trend continues
The features and specifications of these new launches were leaked on ASUS’ French website last week. As the gadgets are now launched, more details regarding the specs of these devices are now out. ASUS has equipped their Zenfone 4 and the Zenfone 4 Max Pro with dual rear cameras. On the other hand, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro will feature front dual cameras, and it allows the users to capture photos with a 120-degree angle. The company believes that the Selfie versions of Zenfore 4 will emerge as a trend among youngsters and selfie enthusiasts, thereby resulting in a sales boom. The front camera in the Selfie 4 Pro version can take 4K resolution videos, and this phone comes in four candid colors for the buyers.
The regular model of the Zenfore 4 features a 20 MP camera, while the pro version has a 24 MP shooter. The Max variant in the Zenfone segment comes with a powerful battery of 5000 mAh. ASUS assures 37.6 hours of 3G talk time, 32.5 hours of wifi browsing on a single charge, and this is something great for sophisticated devices with advanced specifications. All these four gadgets will be powered by Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
The regular models are powered with 4GB RAM, and 64 GB on board memory expandable using an external memory card. The Pro models are expected to have 6GB RAM.
Initial launch in Asia
These four elite models will first reach the Asian markets, and later, it will have a global launch. The Taiwanese brand has a huge popularity in Asian countries like India, China, Bangladesh and Japan, and ASUS is expecting a sales revolution through these devices which come under the Zenfone 4 segment. In the meantime, ASUS has also launched Zenfone Zoom S in India with dual 12-megapixel rear cameras with 2.3 X dual optical zoom and 12X total zoom. The company has launched the sale of this device through Flipkart, the much popular online shopping site. The gadget is priced at $419.
