Tensions have escalated in Mahsi tehsil of Bahraich district after the violent incident during the Durga idol immersion ceremony. The family members of Ramgopal Mishra, who was brutally murdered during the event, along with local residents, have taken to the streets in protest.

Carrying Ramgopal’s body, the grieving family and villagers are demanding justice for the heinous crime. The entire village has come together to bid a tearful farewell to Ramgopal, affectionately known as Gopal Mishra.
The protestors are calling for swift action from the authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice. The atmosphere in the village is charged with emotions as the community mourns the loss of one of its own.

In response to the protests, a spokesperson for the Bahraich police stated, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident and extend our condolences to the family of Ramgopal Mishra.
“A thorough investigation is underway, and we are committed to ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice. We urge the community to remain calm and cooperate with the authorities during this difficult time.”
