Oviya’s manager confirmed the legal action: “It is a morphed video made by someone who wanted to damage Oviya’s name. She has taken the matter to the police commissioner and will pursue necessary legal action against the culprit.” The manager also mentioned that Oviya is currently unwell and unable to make a public statement.

Who is behind the leaked video scandal?

According to a report by the Times of India, Oviya’s complaint identifies Thariq, a former friend, as the individual behind the morphed video scandal. The Kerala-native actor reportedly distanced herself from Thariq due to his unacceptable behavior. The complaint alleges that Thariq orchestrated the release of the morphed videos online as an act of revenge. It is also claimed that Thariq possesses several other videos of Oviya.
