Mumbai Police Seek Extended Custody for Baba Siddique Murder Accused
In the Baba Siddique murder case, Mumbai Police have brought four accused to the Esplanade Court (Killa Court) in Mumbai. The accused, identified as Gurmail Singh, Dharamraj Kashyap, Pravin Lonkar, and Harish Kumar Balaram Nishad, were presented before the court today.
The case, which has garnered widespread attention, involves the brutal killing of senior NCP leader Baba Siddique on October 12 in Bandra East. Siddique was fatally shot outside his office, succumbing to multiple gunshot wounds.
According to police sources, the accused had meticulously planned the attack, conducting thorough reconnaissance of Siddique’s house and office premises. The investigation revealed that the assailants had been monitoring Siddique for months before executing the attack.

During the court proceedings, the police requested 14 days of custody for the accused to facilitate further investigation. “We need more time to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and to apprehend any additional suspects,” stated the investigating officer.
Authorities have also recovered 28 live cartridges from the accused, indicating the premeditated nature of the crime. “The recovery of such a large number of cartridges underscores the seriousness of the plot,” added the officer.
