India vs Australia 1st T20 Ranchi: Star Sports, Hotstar live streaming and cricket score

The first T20 between India vs Australia will be played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on October 7, 2017. The hosts have already obtained an unassailable lead of 4-1 and could be hoping for a clean sweep in the T20 format. The match start time is 7:00 PM IST.

India won the toss and decided to bowl first.

This particular match will be important because the players will be using new bats as per ICC stipulations which warrant that the edge cannot be more than 40 mm and the thickness of the bat must not exceed 67 mm.

The Indian blitzkrieg continues and they have not lost any ODI since July when they were humbled by the West Indies by 11 runs in Antigua. On the other hand, Australia is on a losing streak and lost 11 ODIs in foreign soil. If the Kohli brigade is able to make a clean sweep, the Australia could find themselves fourth in the ODI rankings, to sit alongside their fifth ranking in Tests and seventh in T20Is.

Chance for Kohli to put away the ghost of past

Kohli, who is fast getting known as Mr. Reliable, does not have a great record at the stadium and his past performances read 0, 8, 34 and 0. So he must be itching to put in a performance and we hope that the visitors are able to handle his onslaught since the Indian captain is known for his aggressiveness as well as ruthlessness on the field.  It will also be the 100th ODI of  David Warner’s, who made his debut way back in 2009.

Pitch and conditions

It will be the first ODI which is being played at the stadium after a hiatus of four years. Earlier the pitch was fast and bouncier but in recent times it has become slower and trickier. The last match which was played here was won by the hoists comfortably by 57 runs.
