NTA Announces JEE Mains 2025 Exam Dates at nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2025. The first session is scheduled to take place from January 22 to January 31, 2025, while the second session will be held from April 6 to April 15, 2025. The official notification can be accessed on the NTA’s websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in.

Starting today, October 28, 2024, the registration process for JEE Mains 2025 has commenced. Aspiring candidates can now apply through the official portals. The last date to submit applications for the first session is November 22, 2024.

In a notable update, the JEE Mains 2025 will not feature any optional questions. The examination will consist of 75 questions, with 25 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, totaling 300 marks.

Awaiting Other Exam Dates

Students are also eagerly awaiting the announcement of exam dates for NEET UG, CUET UG, and UGC NET 2025. These dates are expected to be published soon in the NTA exam calendar on nta.ac.in.

Changes in Exam Pattern

The JEE Mains 2025 will see a change in its pattern, with no optional questions included. This decision aims to streamline the examination process and ensure uniformity. Each subject will have 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 5 numerical value questions.

Historical Context

Last year, the NTA released its exam calendar on September 19, 2023. This year’s announcement comes slightly later, but it provides ample time for students to prepare for the upcoming exams.
