Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected an exhibition at AIIMS Ayurveda in Delhi today, marking the occasion of Dhanwantri Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Diwas. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for health projects valued at ₹12,850 crore.
During his visit, PM Modi emphasized the importance of integrating traditional and modern healthcare systems. “Ayurveda is not just a system of medicine but a science of life. It is our responsibility to promote and preserve this ancient wisdom,” he stated.
The exhibition showcased various advancements in Ayurveda, highlighting its role in contemporary healthcare. PM Modi took a keen interest in the exhibits, interacting with practitioners and researchers. “The world is looking towards India for holistic health solutions, and Ayurveda has a significant role to play,” he added.
The health projects inaugurated today include new facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery across the country. “These projects are a testament to our commitment to providing quality healthcare to every citizen. We are investing in the future of our nation’s health,” PM Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister also addressed the gathering, underscoring the government’s efforts to make healthcare accessible and affordable. “Our vision is to create a robust healthcare system that integrates the best of traditional and modern practices. This is a step towards achieving that goal,” he said.
The event concluded with PM Modi urging the youth to take an active interest in Ayurveda and other traditional sciences. “Our young generation must carry forward the legacy of Ayurveda. It is a treasure trove of knowledge that can lead us to a healthier future,” he concluded.
