Murder Mindfully, based on Karsten Dusse’s best-selling book, has just sneaked on the streamer. Usually, Netflix likes to yell and shout about what it’s introducing.

‘Murder Mindfully’ is out on Netflix On October 31, 2024.

Murder Mindfully

The novel was a huge smash when it was first released in Germany. An English-language edition is on the horizon, and Netflix has already made it into an eight-part series that sounds much like Breaking Bad.

Björn Diemel, played by Tom Schilling in the series Murder Mindfully, is a prominent mafia lawyer who struggles to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The thriller focuses on criminality, and the humor is as sharp as it is sinister. Our primary character’s clients include a mob-like figure and several other criminals, including a defense lawyer.
He enrols in a mindfulness program because he knows he needs to change or risk losing both his wife and his daughter. But instead of finding inner peace, Björn kills his client and crime lord, Dragan Sergowicz, after discovering his inner killer!

As Björn puts it in the book: “I didn’t kill anyone until I was forty-two. That’s a tad on the late side for my current professional environment. In the week that followed, I did kill nearly half a dozen.
