Prabhas Signs Major 3-Film Deal with Hombale Films, Including ‘Salaar 2’

Actor Prabhas has inked a three-picture deal with Hombale Films, the production house behind the blockbuster “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.” This deal includes the highly anticipated sequel “Salaar Part 2” and two additional projects, marking one of the largest talent-studio partnerships in Indian cinema.

Hombale films revealed the news on Twitter. The statement read “We are proud to unite with the Rebel Star, Prabhas, in a groundbreaking three-film partnership that celebrates the essence of Indian cinema and aims to take it to the world. This is a declaration of our commitment to creating cinematic experiences that will be unforgettable. The stage is set and the path ahead is limitless. Get ready, as the journey begins with Salaar2.”

Hombale Films’ founder, Vijay Kiragandur, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “At Hombale, we believe in the power of storytelling that transcends borders. Our collaboration with Prabhas is a step towards crafting timeless cinema that will inspire and entertain for generations to come”.

Prabhas, known for his roles in the “Baahubali” series and other major hits, shared his enthusiasm for the new projects. “I was drawn to the project due to its unique script and the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team. The narrative and character in ‘Salaar’ intrigued me, and I saw it as a chance to explore something different in my career,” he said.

The first film under this new agreement, “Salaar Part 2,” will be directed by Prashanth Neel, who also helmed the first installment. Prabhas praised Neel’s vision, saying, “Collaborating with Prashanth Neel has been a rewarding experience. His clarity of vision and passion for storytelling have made the filmmaking process both enjoyable and enriching”.
