President elect Donald Trump is now busy picking his cabinet after his rousing win in the Presidential elections. Lets take a look at his key picks.

Secretary Of State: Likely Marco Rubio

Multiple reports indicate that Trump is likely to appoint Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as his secretary of state. According to CNN, Trump targeted Rubio after first selecting former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell for the position, but the New York Times claims he may change his mind. With a reputation as a foreign policy hawk who supports aggressive stances against China and Iran, Rubio is a well-known Republican who was allegedly one of the contenders for Trump’s running mate selection.

National Security Adviser: Mike Waltz

CNN and The Wall Street Journal report that Trump has requested Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., to be his national security adviser. Waltz, a former Army Green Beret, has been vocal in his criticism of China in recent months. He has also called on NATO allies to increase defence spending and stated that he expects Trump to pressure Russia and Ukraine to reach a diplomatic settlement to the conflict in Ukraine.

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator: Lee Zeldin

In a statement released on Monday, Trump declared that he had appointed former Representative Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., to head the EPA, referring to his “very strong legal background” and characterizing him as “a true fighter for America First policies.” Zeldin, a Trump supporter who was a candidate for governor of New York two years ago.

Deputy Chief Of Staff For Policy: Stephen Miller

According to several reports on Monday, Trump is anticipated to choose Stephen Miller as his successor in the White House in the next few days. One of the architects of some of Trump’s most contentious immigration policies, such as his family separation program, Miller served as a top adviser to the president during his first term.

Border Czar: Tom Homan

As he prepares to deport a large number of undocumented migrants during his second term, Trump revealed Monday that he had selected Tom Homan, his former director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, for the position.

Un Ambassador: Elise Stefanik

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., who chairs the GOP Conference, told the New York Post that she has accepted Trump’s nomination for the position of UN ambassador.

Chief Of Staff: Susie Wiles

Two days after winning the election, Trump made his first significant administrative appointment when he appointed Susie Wiles, his campaign co-manager, as chief of staff. The first woman to occupy the role will be Wiles.
