Teams News
Team news
Kolkata Knight Riders: If everything goes by the plan, then KKR will handover debut to either Lockie Ferguson or Harry Gurney. Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi will miss this season due to injuries and Sandeep Warrier and KC Cariappa has been called up as their replacements.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kane Williamson’s inclusion is in doubt and according to the Cricbuzz report, coach Tom Moody has said the team management will wait till the report comes. If left out, Bhuvaneswar Kumar will step in as the captain. Jonny Bairstow in line to make his IPL debut.
Mumbai Indians: Lasith Malinga is likely to miss a first few games while Adam Milne has been ruled out of the tournament. Mumbai will have Yuvraj Singh and Quinton de Kock in their mix but rest of the side is the same as the last year.
Delhi Capitals: A new name might just help them to start well. Shikhar Dhawan, who moved from Hyderabad to Delhi, will open the innings. Their batting is solid on paper and they would aim to start the season well.
Pitch report
Both the games can be high-scoring games due to the fast outfields in both Eden Gardens and Wankhede. The pitch will have some sort of a grip for the leg-spinner but off-spinners may struggle on this track. Weather should is fine in both the cities without any disruption in the matches.
