CSK aim to set up a summit clash with Mumbai

Chennai Super Kings will be glad to see the fact the Vizag pitch has got an equal amount of spin, if not more than the Chennai wicket. Kedar Jadhav’s injury gave an opportunity to Murli Vijay and he did quite alright in the Qualifier 1. Considering all these factors, skipper MS Dhoni may decide to stick the same XI for this knockout match.

Capitals seek their first final appearance

Delhi Capitals will be happy with their result in the eliminator against SRH, even though it wasn’t a perfect win of any sort. Trent Boult average performance in that match could well mean Chris Morris getting another opportunity. Sandeep Lamichhane can also come in as the Vizag pitch supports spinners. Colin Munro didn’t seem like finding his rhythm and could be replaced by Colin Ingram. Other than these, Delhi is unlikely to change their combination.  The Vizag pitch was slow in the eliminator and won’t go any massive change for the Qualifier 2. The dew will surely play a role in helping teams to chase the total but spinners can come in handy. Batsmen are likely to attack the bowlers in the powerplay overs in order to get some time out for the later sections of the match. There are no chances of rain and the weather won’t cause any disruption in the match
