“Deva” which is said to be the remake of the Malayalam superhit film “Mumbai Police” starring Prithviraj has received mixed reviews.

Even though there are no such intimate scenes or not even a mainstream heroine in the Malayalam classic, the kissing scene between Pooja Hegde and Shahid Kapoor hints at a plot twist.

‘Deva’ plot

The movie follows the story of Dev Ambre, a rebellious and abrasive cop played by Shahid Kapoor. Dev is known for his unconventional methods and disregard for rules.

The film begins with Dev investigating the murder of his best friend and fellow officer, Rohan D’Silva. Just as Dev is about to reveal the identity of the killer, he suffers a major accident that results in memory loss.

As Dev retraces his past, relying only on his muscle memory, he uncovers unsettling truths about his department and himself. The non-linear screenplay introduces us to Dev’s complex character, showcasing his journey from a hotheaded cop to a man struggling to piece together his fragmented memories.

In the movie “Deva,” Pooja Hegde plays the role of Diya, an investigative journalist. Her character is both fierce and determined, bringing a blend of grit and vulnerability to the story. Diya’s role is pivotal as she uncovers crucial information that drives the plot forward.
