
Prayagraj, February 27, 2025 – Following the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh, the Fire and Emergency Services Department has embarked on a unique initiative to distribute Sangam water across all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
This initiative, announced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to ensure that the sacred water reaches those who could not attend the event.

Logistics and Execution of the Sangam Water Distribution
The logistics of distributing the Sangam water involve the use of fire tenders and other resources from the Fire and Emergency Services Department. “Our team is working tirelessly to ensure that the water is delivered safely and efficiently to all districts,” said a spokesperson for the department. The project is expected to be completed within the next few weeks.
Maha Kumbh 2025: Record-Breaking Attendance and Economic Impact
The Maha Kumbh 2025, which concluded on February 26, saw a record-breaking turnout of nearly 65 crore devotees. This grand event, held every 144 years, began on January 13 and lasted for 45 days. The Uttar Pradesh government reported that the Maha Kumbh contributed over Rs 3 lakh crore to the state’s economy. Key bathing days like Mauni Amavasya saw an overwhelming 8 crore devotees, while Makar Sankranti drew 3.5 crore pilgrims.
