UAE Ambassador to India, Dr. Ahmed Albanna, said Indian travelers with tourist visas or business visas would enter the UAE without too many constraints throughout this period.

The opening ceremony has been spectacularly planned, with a galaxy of international celebs and artists descending to Dubai.

Al Wasl Plaza will be charming with celebrities like world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli and British singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding.

The Expo 2020 Dubai performers include:

  • Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Andra Day.
  • Star pianist Lang Lang.
  • Four-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo.

The Khaleej Times quotes Tareq Ghosheh, chief event officer, Expo 2020 Dubai saying, “This is the ‘big bang’ that sets the exhibition for 182 days of visually stunning and emotionally inspiring experiences, as we invite guests from across the planet to join the making of a new world.”

Amna Abulhoul, Director, Events, and Entertainment said: “The opening ceremony is a breathtaking experience. It is not something that I can explain through words. It will trigger something inside you, something that will make you believe that you are waiting to change the world.”

Easing of rules

Moreover, the UAE has initiated a plan to issue visas to those desiring to attend the Dubai Expo. About 25 million people are anticipated to visit the Dubai Expo, as more than 180 countries participate. The Ambassador also said that the timing of the Dubai Expo coincides with the 50th centenary of the United Arab Emirates.

UAE has also lifted other restrictions on the arrival of fully vaccinated citizens from September 12. UAE has also allowed travelers from India, Bangladesh, South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Vietnam, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan to attend the Expo.
