Idea behind The Logo
The inspiration behind the new Dubai Expo Logo 2020 is a ring found at a 4000-year-old archaeological site in the desert. The land where the ring was found connected many ancient civilizations, explained H.H. Sheikh Mohammed, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of UAE.
This design shows that the land of Dubai connects the ancient civilizations with deep roots, and the country will remain a hub that connects the world.
The flags of the 192 participating countries in the Dubai Expo 2020, was then revealed via a domino effect where flags were opened one by one. It was a proud and beautiful moment to visualize.
Mascots of the Event
The six mascots of the event are Rashid and Latifa-: an eight and nine-year-old brother-sister duo; Salama- a ghaf tree; Alif, Opti, and Terra are the guardians’ mascots for the mobility, opportunity, and sustainability pavillions, respectively.
