CBSE released class 10th and 12th exam schedule

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the first-term board examinations for classes 10th and 12th in offline mode, which will commence in the months of November-December.

CBSE released the date sheet on its official website on Monday, October 18, 2021. The datasheet released is for the Term-1 examination for both classes. Class 12th has 114 subjects and class 10th has 75 subjects.

CBSE date sheet 2021 for Class 10 boards


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday released the date sheet for Class 10 Term 1 exams for all the major subjects whereas the datasheet for all the minor subjects will be provided by the school separately.

The exams of minor subjects will start from November 17. CBSE had informed earlier that the exams for these classes would occur in two terms in the 2021-22 session.


The Class 10 exams for major subjects will begin on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, with social science paper (subject code 087) and end on December 11 with English Language and Literature (Subject code 184).

Science subject paper (code 086) will be held on Thursday, December 2, Maths standard (code 041) and maths basic (code 241) will be conducted on Saturday, December 4. 

CBSE 12th date sheet 2021

The Central Board of Secondary Education released the date sheet for Class 12 Term 1 exams on Monday, October 18, 2021. The date sheet has been released for all major subjects and the datasheet for minor subjects will be provided to schools separately.

CBSE will provide date sheets for minor subjects to the schools separately. The CBSE Class 12th term 1 examination for the minor subjects will start on November 16, 2021.

The CBSE Class 12 exams for major subjects will begin on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, with a sociology paper (subject code 039) and end on December 22 with Home science (code 064). English core (subject code 301) will be held on Friday, December 3, Mathematics (code 041) will be held on Monday, December 6.

The physics (042) exam will hold on December 10. accountancy (055) on Monday, December 13, Chemistry (code 043) on December 14, Economics (code 030) on Wednesday, December 15, Political science (code 028) on Friday, December 17, and Biology paper (Subject code 044) on December 18, Saturday.

The exam will have objective questions and the time given for the examination will be ninety minutes. The reading time of the question paper will be twenty minutes instead of fifteen.
The term 1 exam, to be conducted in November-December 2021 will be for 90 minutes and will have questions of objective type. The reading time for question papers will be 20 minutes instead of the 15 minutes given earlier.

The term 2 examinations will be held in March-April 2022, which is dependent on pandemic conditions, it will be either subjective or objective. The mode of examination will be offline. The exams will start at 11.30 am instead of 10.30 am.

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj had said that once the exams of term-I will be over, the results will be declared.

“Practical exams or internal assessment will be completed in schools before the first-term exams are over. The marks allotted will be 50% of the total marks and mentioned in the syllabus. The schools will be informed separately about the full scheme so that they can make the necessary preparations,” he added.
