Aryan Khan was represented by Mukul Rohatgi, the former Attorney General of India (AGI). In the court for the hearing before Justice Nitin Sambre, he was the lead counsel along with Satish Maneshinde and senior counsel Amit Desai.
Aryan Khan, Munmun Dhameecha, and Arbaaz Merchant were granted bailAryan was arrested on October 3, and he got bail on the 25th day after the arrest. Nitin Sambre has kept the exact bail order for tomorrow, so Aryan Khan will not go out of jail until then. After the bail news, Arbaaz’s father, Aslam Merchant, said that his family spent 34,560 minutes waiting for this moment, adding that Aryan too is like a son to him.
Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) reaction
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) opposed Aryan Khan’s bail plea, claiming that he was not just a drug consumer but was also involved in drug trafficking. However, ASG Anil Singh stated in court that Aryan just had drugs, and he is not a regular consumer of drugs.
NCB stated that he was also connected with drug peddlers, and the drugs found with him were of commercial quantity. Hence they invoked NDPS sections 28 and 29 since they knew the grounds and this arrest was not illegal.
Bail granted but not released
However, the high court granted bail to Aryan, Arbaaz, and Munmun, but they were not released immediately. They will probably walk out on Friday or Saturday once the court order is out in detail. Former AGI, Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Aryan in court, said after the order.
NCB also claimed that Aryan Khan and a woman named Pooja Dadlani, Shah Rukh Khan’s manager, were tampering with the evidence and witnesses involved in the case to derail the ongoing investigation.
