The United States of America is experiencing a huge surge of Omicron infections. The count of the infected with this raging virus goes higher and higher with the passing days.
The major reason that led to these circumstances is the unvaccinated pockets of people.

White House announced on Tuesday many new steps to tackle the threats of the highly contagious variant, Omicron.

The New plan to save America

The Biden government laid out several initiatives aimed at balancing the surge. A half-billion at-home COVID test kits are bought and mailed to people who want them. This would ensure safe and easy testing for the citizens.
The delivery will start from January, confirmed by a senior administration official on Monday, previewing the speech.

In New York, people hoarded the streets to get tested but endured long lines in the battling cold.
For example, Times Square on Saturday afternoon saw people waiting for as long as three hours!
This step would now guarantee no repeating of this kind of event.

More details will be provided of Joe Biden’s new plan that aims to expand capacity to vaccinate more Americans by providing more aid to overwhelmed hospitals.

The government will arrange ambulances and EMS workers to help move people to places with open beds. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will mobilize 1,000 doctors, nurses, medics, and other military medical personnel to deploy to hospitals in January and February.

No Lockdown or further restrictions

This initiative was taken into account to stagnate the spread of the deadly variant. It is not in any way claimed to further restrict or have a lockdown.

“This is not a speech about locking the country down. This is a speech outlining and being direct and clear with the American people about the benefits of being vaccinated, the steps we’re going to take to increase access and to increase testing, and the risks posed to unvaccinated individuals,”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed on Monday.
