Eva Mendes, 40, and Ryan Gosling, 33, welcomed their first child on September 12, 2014, but chose to keep the birth a secret, for reasons best known to them.
A report on Hollywood Life said that Mendes, who has been dating Gosling for a long time, never talked of her pregnancy till she was seven months pregnant.
The couple welcomed a baby girl, and even then, they waited to break the news, although sources have confirmed the rumors.
Gosling and Eva managed to be tight-lipped about the pregnancy, something that is surprising to many given their star status.
The new baby Gosling is reported to look like Eva, according to the report. “Everyone is saying the baby looks like Eva and has her features,” the source was quoted.
“She’s so good with kids and has wanted this a really long time,” the insider was quoted by the tabloid.
The couple is expected to introduce the bundle of joy to their first two dog babies Hugo and George.
Ryan had once said in 2011, “I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen. When someone comes along [to make babies with] I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that.”
Ryan is known to have grown up without his father and would like to avoid that for his child.
The couple met during the filming of “The Place Beyond the Pines” in 2011 and have been together since then.
