Social Security payment: Check worth up to $1,657 for October to be sent in few days

A person can receive both Social Security and SSI, but anyone who receives SSI must report changes in their living arrangements and income to the SSA.

Social Security benefits recipients need to wait a little more than a week before their monthly payments worth up to $1,657 are sent to them.

This month’s round of Social Security payments will begin on October 12, with prices starting with people who have birthdays between the first and 10th of a month. Payments to Social Security recipients are given depending on their birth dates, according to a calendar from the Social Security Administration.

People who have their birthdays later will need to wait one or two weeks before receiving their payments. People born between the 11th and 20th of a month will receive their compensation on Oct. 19, and those born between the 21st and 31st of a month will get paid on Oct. 26.

Social Security payments differ from Supplemental Security Income payments because Social Security benefit programs are “entitlement” programs paid for with Social Security taxes that are put into special trust funds.
