Undocumented immigrants can now apply and be eligible to obtain a new direct amount of at least $1,000 after a new program has been introduced.
Washington State officials announced introducing this program targeting undocumented immigrants, with Axios reporting that every applicant will receive a debit card or check worth at least $1,000.
The amount an individual will receive will be determined by the number of applications submitted in the state before the November 14 deadline.
Last year the Washington state legislature allocated $340 million in COVID relief for undocumented immigrants. But as @MelissaSantos1 reported, that funding was never distributed. Applications are finally opening today. Spread the word. Folks are eligible for $1k. pic.twitter.com/lw351lqmXR

Who can claim this stimulus?
To be able to claim this aid, individuals must be over 18 years old and reside in Washington.
Undocumented immigrants didn’t receive any stimulus or unemployment checks during the pandemic; therefore, they know they will access this $340 million fund that lawmakers in the state had approved in April 2021 but has been plagued with delays.
