Twitter suspends Hafiz Saeed account

The official account of Hafiz Saeed on Twitter has been suspended by the social networking service.

The chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) is the main accused in the Mumbai terror attack on November 28, 2011, where civilians and policemen were killed.

This new development comes in the light of the recent tweets made by Saeed against India. He recently held a Mumbai terror and made a few objectionable tweets.

“Ghazwae Hind inevitable, Kashmir will be freed, 1971 avenged and Ahmedabad Gujrat victims will get justice,” he had tweeted last week on December 5, which had garnered a lot of flak from many quarters.

Jamaat-ud-Dawah is the front of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Saeed is in charge of the group. He had also made comments on the floor situation in Kashmir and POK in September and had blamed India for the same.

He had also mentioned in a tweet that India had released the waters in the rivers without even notifying its neighbor of the same.

Till the time of this report, it is not known whether Twitter suspended the account based on Saeed’s tweet or after being flagged by users as the norms mention.

Meanwhile, Saeed continues to roam freely in Pakistan and has been vocal in his hatred against India in most of the rallies.

Back in 2012, the United States had announced an award of $10 million for anyone who can give the whereabouts of Saeed. Also, he is in the list of most wanted terrorists of United States.
