‘Fast X’ is reportedly going to space like ‘F9,’ but apart from other rumors, one news that has been trending online is the return of Brian O’Conner. Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner’s brotherhood is a concept that made the ‘Fast & Furious franchise in the last 21 years.
Considering that ‘Fast X’ is one of the first movies that will end the franchise, followed by a sequel, Brian’s return might play an essential role in making the movie successful. Paul Walker’s demise in 2013 was regrettable but also led to changes in the seventh film. However, the car chase continued on the roads, and there was no reason to say that Brian won’t return to the franchise.
Toward the end of ‘Furious 7’, we see Dom and Brian bid goodbye to each other and drive on separate paths. The scene was possible with CGI, and the same technique can be used in ‘Fast X’ to bring back Brian, and it might end with a moment where Brian enjoys a BBQ party with the entire family.
The character might not need to show his face, and he can also make a cameo appearance. Brian’s return will be a treat for the audiences, but there should be some necessity in the upcoming sequel for the character’s return. ‘Fast X’ has an advantage since the makers have already witnessed how Brian’s character was handled in ‘The Fate of the Furious.’
The ending of ‘F9’ hinted towards Brian’s return, and ‘Furious 7’ entirely concluded Brian’s story. The fate of ‘Fast X’ will be decided towards release, but the franchise’s fans can be assured for now that Brian’s appearance will be for a brief period.
Written by Justin Lin and Dan Mazeau and directed by Louis Leterrier, ‘Fast X’ is the tenth main installment of the Fast & Furious franchise and the eleventh overall. ‘Fast X’ features Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchoir, Alan Ritchson, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Rita Moreno and Charlize Theron in the lead roles.
