‘Bambi: The Reckoning’ horror film has been announced has been announced.
As reported by Dread Central, ITN Studios and Jagged Edge Productions have teamed up to tackle the adorable deer that lost his mum to evil hunters. No plot details have been revealed yet, but we can probably assume the film will deal with Bambi getting revenge on the people who murdered his mother.
The film will be directed by Scott Jeffrey, who has such films as Kingdom of the Dinosaurs, Exorcist Vengeance, and Spider from the Attic on his CV, alongside Rhys Frake-Waterfield, director of Winnie above the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
Jeffrey said: “The film will be an incredibly dark retelling of the 1928 story we all know and love. Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix’s The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine that lurks in the wilderness. Prepare for Bambi on rabies!”
While there is no release date yet for Bambi: The Reckoning, the no-doubt traumatic film is slated to start filming in January 2023.
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, however, is set to be released for one day only on February 15, 2023, in the US. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
The film recently released its first glimpse at Winnie the Pooh’s best friend, Christopher Robin, although Pooh and Piglet don’t seem best pleased to see him this time.
“We used to be friends; why are you doing this? I would have never left, I swear,” Christopher is seen pleading to Pooh and Piglet, who have become feral and vicious after years of neglect.
With these happy scenes in Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, we can’t wait for Bambi: The Reckoning!
