‘This Is Me… Now’: Jennifer Lopez returns to the world of music with her new album

Jennifer Lopez announced via Twitter that she is coming back with a new album after eight years, titled ‘This Is Me… Now’.

The artist announced the upcoming musical project on Friday morning and revealed that it will be aired in 2023. ‘This Is Me… Now’ will be Jennifer Lopez’s first full-length album in eight years. The video on Twitter featured Lopez in two different looks, including one back in 2002 and the other in the present day. The album’s news release stated,

“Heralding a new era of music for Jennifer Lopez, ‘This Is Me…Now’ chronicles the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey she has taken over the past two decades. An emotionally raw and honest project unlike any she has produced, she writes and sings about her life and experiences that will resonate with us all. In addition, these autobiographical stories informed by the album will result in other personal projects that will be released next year…more to come.”

The record also features different themes of Lopez’s tough childhood, including her unsuccessful relationship and incredible journey. The album is about philosophy, a reflection, a zeitgeist moment, hope, faith, and true love never dying. The track includes-

While speaking with Vogue, the artist said that this album is the most honest work she has ever done, and she is hoping that the album will create a world to go with the music, in the manner of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Wall,’ but with the focus being love.

Lopez’s first album ‘On the 6’ was released in 1999. Apart from being a famous singer, she is also a well-known actress and has appeared in films like ‘Nurses on the Line: The Crash of Flight 7’, ‘Money Train,’ ‘Jack,’ ‘Blood and Wine, ‘Selena,’ ‘Anaconda,’ and more.
