The Hindi movie “Tevar was released in India and across the world on Jan 9, 2015.
‘Tevar’, with Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, tells a story of a very corrupt politician who falls for a student who is morally upright. He will leave no stone unturned to marry her.
She, however, wants nothing to do with him and seeks shelter from him with another boy.
#Tevar wins you over completely. Has all the ingredients to strike a chord with moviegoers. 2015 should start with a bang!

The movie is a remake of “Okkadu”, a Telugu hit from 2003. The story is quite typical where the hero wins over the villain.
Arjun Kapoor plays the role of Pintu Shukla the protagonist of the story who, as he says, is a combination of Salman Khan, Terminator and Rambo.
Arjun Kapoor is simply amazing as Pintu Shukla. Sonakshi Sinha also has done a good job, although it does get kind of repetitive since she is being seen very often on the big screen these days.
Babbar and Bajpayee, who are known for delivering performances which are worthy of applause, have done justice to their roles here as well. Subrat Dutta, another great actor, knows how to bring finesse in his character.

Even though the cast is great, the movie does have a very slow pace. Arjun Kapoor seems to be running a lot faster than the movie. The movie could do with a little shortening but increasing the pace in some parts.
The director Amit has proved his worth with the movie. He has used the Taj Mahal in the right manner and has brought out the beautiful side of this monument of love.
The box office collections of ‘Tevar’ are expected to be good as no other big movie has hit the screens this weekend. The 1st and 2nd days collections report will be updated here shortly. Stay tuned…
