4th Stimulus Check 2023: ‘Inflation relief’ payments up to $1,050 go out by Valentine’s Day

Thousands of Americans will receive winter assistance worth up to $1,050 before Valentine’s Day.

States have taken action to assist as excessive inflation has strained many people’s finances, so governments with sizable budget surpluses have started offering residents tax rebates or other forms of financial aid, reports The Sun.

Since the fall, California has offered rebates ranging from $200 to $1,050. Taxpayers’ distributions are based on their income, filing status, and dependents.

In the meantime, Connecticut rewards employees who worked throughout the pandemic’s peak with bonuses. They fall under the state’s Premium Pay plan and vary from $200 and $1,000.

Idaho will continue to issue rebates through 2023, like California. They are worth $300 for single filers and $600 for couples.

In January, Governor Janet Mills passed the Emergency Energy Relief Plan, which will send residents $450 winter checks in Maine.
