Bollywood Celebs Attend Last Rites of Satish Kaushik 

Veteran Indian actor and director, the versatile Satish Kaushik dies of a heart attack on Thursday, March 9, in Delhi. The 66-year-old Mr. India actor was one of India’s most treasured comedians.

How is Bollywood reacting to the news?

The Economic Times reports reveal, the Bollywood stalwart Salman Khan, who collaborated with Kaushik on several movies, including “Tere Naam,” said he has always admired and appreciated the director. “Always cared for, respected, and loved him. I will always remember him for the guy he was. #RIP Satish Ji. May his soul rest in peace and give his family and loved one’s courage, “Tweets Khan.

On Instagram Stories, Farah Khan posted a cheerful photo of the Mr. India actor along with the caption, “RIP Satish Kaushik. Too sudden and too sad… the kindest, happiest man.”  Subhash Ghai, who co-starred with Satish Kaushik in Ram Lakhan, also posted a photo of the late actor to pay tribute.

Alia Bhatt shared a montage of the various roles that Kaushik has portrayed throughout the years, on her Instagram Story. The ‘Gangubai’ star further wrote “Thank you for decades of laughter, love, and pure entertainment. RIP Sir … you will be missed. Love and strength to the family!! “

Late on Thursday, Satish Kaushik’s funeral procession from his house to the Mumbai (Andheri )cremation included family, friends, and admirers. Anupam Kher sat next to the dead body of his friend. Owing to their long-standing ties, Anupam Kher seemed shaken by Kaushik’s untimely demise. The actor was the one who delivered the tragic news of his passing. He was spotted sobbing in front of Abhishek Bachchan before Kaushik’s burial.

The late actor Satish Kaushik’s mortal remains have been preserved at his Mumbai home for “antim darshan.” A number of Bollywood stars showed up to his home to offer their respects.

Kaushik left behind a legacy that is hard to match and a Posthumous film ‘Emergency’ set to release in 2023, where he played the role of Jagjivan Ram.
