Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal's father falls from Gurugram high rise; his death baffles people

The father of the prime mover of OYO Ritesh Agarwal, fell from the 20th floor of his flat in DLF Crysta Society while his son, wife, and daughter-in-law were still there. The Times of India reports revealing the shocking details of Ramesh Agarwal’s sudden death on March 10.

What do we know so far?

The local police are looking into the situation. At about 1 pm, they learned via DLF security that someone had fallen from the 20th story of DLF’s The Crest community in Gurugram’s sector 54.

The police revealed that he was brought to Paras Hospital for medical attention. A team and SHO sector 53 went to the scene of the incident. Ramesh Agarwal was recognized as the fallen individual after a site assessment. He was sent to Paras Hospital dead.

Media sources highlighted that his son did not live in the same flat. An Oyo representative confirmed the death. Ritesh Agarwal also released a statement announcing the demise of his father.

Tragedy immediately after son’s nuptials

The unfortunate incident unfolded three days after Agarwal married Geetansha Sood, the director of Farmation Ventures. On March 7, the couple threw a high-profile wedding celebration at the five-star Taj Palace hotel in Delhi. The ceremony made news because Masayoshi Son, the founder of SoftBank Group and one of the world’s most successful tech entrepreneurs, was in attendance.

 The wedding was also attended by numerous prominent personalities, including Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
