Stimulus 2023: Ann Arbor City Council Introduces Guaranteed Income Program

In reaction to the pandemic, the national government issued the final stimulus checks in March 2021. However, a few states will still provide cash aid to citizens in 2023.

In reality, this spring, some New Jersey and Alaskan taxpayers will receive payments totaling more than $1,000.

ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program In New Jersey

To counter years of property tax increases, the ANCHOR Property Tax Relief scheme, which is superseding the Homestead Benefit, was developed.

Applicants must have leased or owned their main home as of October 19, 2019, and they must file state income taxes in New Jersey or qualify for an exemption from doing so.

For homeowners with incomes up to $150,000, the award is $1,500; for those between $150,000 and $250,000, it is $1,000. Renters making up to $150,000 a year will get $450. These kinds of assistance programs typically exclude renters. Renters will receive payments to help offset the sharp rise in housing expenses.

Alaska Stimulus Fund

Using the Permanent Fund Dividend program, the Alaskan government has been giving state residents a share of investment money from oil revenues for the past 41 years. Due to an added $662.19 energy relief bonus this year, the payout per accepted candidate will be $3,284, which is a higher amount than normal.

The payout’s energy-relief component is exempt from taxes. Alaskans have until March 31 to submit their applications. Being a citizen of the state and staying out of jail for the entire calendar year are prerequisites, among others.
