A woman from Manila claims she was duped by a man who pretended to be Roman Reigns, the WWE Unified World Champion and one of the most popular wrestlers in the world.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, says she met the impostor on a dating app and fell in love with him.
She says he convinced her to send him money for various reasons, such as travel expenses, medical bills, and legal fees. She says she sent him a total of $15,000 over the course of six months until she realized he was lying to her.

The woman says she was a huge fan of Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoaʻi, and was thrilled when he matched with her on the app.
She says he sent her photos and videos of himself, and even called her on the phone. She says he told her he was divorced and had three children, and that he wanted to marry her and bring her to the US.
She says he also told her he was in trouble with the WWE and needed money to settle his issues.
The woman says she trusted him and did everything he asked until she saw a news report about Roman Reigns preparing for his match against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.
She says she realized then that the man she had been talking to was not the real Roman Reigns, but a scammer who had used his photos and videos to trick her.
She says she confronted him and he blocked her on the app and on social media. She says she reported him to the authorities but has not heard anything since.
The woman says she is devastated and embarrassed by what happened and wants to warn other fans of Roman Reigns to be careful online.
She says she still loves Roman Reigns as a wrestler but feels betrayed by the man who used his identity to steal from her.
