Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi Note series in India with the launch of two new 4G smartphones – Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro.
The new devices come with upgraded features and specifications compared to the previous generation Redmi Note 10 series.

Redmi Note 12 Pro: Price and availability
The Redmi Note 12 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, Rs 15,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and
128GB of storage and Rs 17,999 for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will go on sale via Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home stores.
Redmi Note 12: Features and specifications
The Redmi Note 12 sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 processor paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone also supports a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion.
On the back, the Redmi Note 12 features a quad-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor.
The front-facing camera is a 13MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual stereo speakers.
The Redmi Note 12 packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. The phone is available in three color options – Carbon Black, Pebble White and Sea Blue.
Redmi Note 12 Pro: Features and specifications
The Redmi Note 12 Pro is a slightly upgraded version of the Redmi Note 12 with some differences in the display, processor and camera departments.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The phone also supports a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion.
On the back, the Redmi Note 12 Pro features a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5MP telemacro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
The front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual stereo speakers.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro packs a slightly larger 5,020mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.
The phone is available in four color options – Graphite Black, Pebble White, Rose Gold and Lake Green.
