One of the biggest differences between certain jobs is the fact that it is an indoor job or an outdoor job. Some people really enjoy the type of job that requires being indoors and at a desk. It just depends on the person and their circumstances, but it really is pretty 50/50 on what people prefer the most. There are those that really enjoy a solid blue-collar type job where they are working outdoors and getting their hands nice and dirty. Here are 4 desirable outdoor jobs that are fun areas to work: camp director, roofer, photographer, and recreation therapist.
Camp Director
Being a camp director may come with a lot of duties and responsibilities. They oversee all of the employees that the camp holds. They must perform all the planning of all the everyday activities and things that will be done on each day. They also monitor all the expenses. There are a lot of details that go into being a camp director, but the real payoff is the fact that they get the opportunity to attend any or all of the camp’s activities. It can be a very adventurous yet demanding job to be a part of but is also very rewarding.
Roofer
If you like a more technical job, being a roofer could be a good direction for you. Some of these roofing companies get very tedious as they should. A roof over a home is a very important job and it must never be taken lightly. There will need to be an inspection first, then you must provide the clients with accurate estimates in terms of projected labor and cost of materials. The measuring process once the roofing begins can be very grueling but again, very important to make sure that your client’s home is safe and secure. It can get more interesting if there is roof damage that needs to be replaced.
Photographer
To become a photographer is not necessarily difficult, but to become a good photographer is much more rare. It is not likely that you will be able to pick up a camera and just be able to know all the tricks. Schooling can be done to be able to further your knowledge, but where the real knowledge comes from is with real practice and sometimes just having a real gift and an eye for visual design.
Recreation Therapist
A recreational therapist is someone who provides recreational therapeutic assessments of their patients. They will plan activities for educational leisure. They will be able to look over their patients notes from any other facility that has been provided to make sure assessments are done correctly. There will be therapeutic activities that will be planned and provided for patients to be able to enjoy. And finally they will also come up with individual treatment plans for whatever may or may not need to continue. Or adding things that may need to be added to the treatment plan. This is a job that can also be taken outside to enjoy or may also be used indoors as needed.
