As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to subside, many states are winding down their stimulus programs. However, a few states are still sending out checks and payments in May 2023. Here’s what you need to know.
California
California is sending out stimulus checks of $200 to $1,050 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and lived in California full-time for at least six months in 2020. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
Colorado
Colorado is sending out stimulus payments of $400 to $800 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and had an adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
Georgia
Georgia is sending out stimulus payments of $250 to $500 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and had an adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
Illinois
Illinois is sending out stimulus payments of $500 to $1,000 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and had an adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
Maryland
Maryland is sending out stimulus payments of $300 to $500 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and had an adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
New Jersey
New Jersey is sending out stimulus payments of $500 to $1,000 to residents who filed state tax returns by October 15, 2021, and had an adjusted gross income of $75,000 or less. Payments are being sent out on a rolling basis, and most residents should have received their checks by the end of May.
New York
