Rahul Gandhi Listens To Truck Drivers' 'Mann Ki Baat'

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress Party, drove a truck from Delhi to Chandigarh on Monday night, May 22. The goal of this unusual trip schedule was to actively interact with truck drivers and pay close attention to the difficulties they face in their line of work.

Party Reports

Gandhi may be seen inside a truck, riding with one of the drivers, and conversing with other truck drivers in images posted by the party.

“Jannayak @RahulGandhi ji reached among the truck drivers to know their problems,” the Congress party tweeted along with the video. Rahul Ji accompanied the truck driver on his journey from Delhi to Chandigarh.

The party further noted that there are over 90 lakh truck drivers on Indian roadways, each dealing with issues of their own. It was Rahul ji’s responsibility to listen to his “Mann Ki Baat.”

As per trusted sources in Congress, Rahul Gandhi was on his way to Shimla to spend time with his mother, Sonia Gandhi. However, he spontaneously decided to connect with truck drivers and pay close attention to the issues they encounter while on the road.

Gandhi’s Earlier Initiatives

Gandhi engaged in conversation with college students and women at a Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus stop earlier this month while running for the Karnataka Assembly Elections. In one of the BMTC buses, he also addressed the female passengers.

During his visit to Karnataka, Gandhi also spoke with gig workers and delivery partners in Bengaluru. Gandhi joined them at a café for masala dosas and coffee after learning about the hardships of gig workers. As per the Hindustan Times, Gandhi was also observed boarding a two-wheeler as a passenger to travel to his accommodation in the city.
