‘American Idol’ Fans Want Katy Perry Removed Over ‘Odd Behavior’ Cat Video

Katy Perry is one of the most popular pop stars in the world, but not everyone is a fan of her latest venture. The singer has been performing her Las Vegas residency, “Play”, at the Resorts World Theatre since December 2021, and some critics have slammed her for her “odd” behavior on stage.

Katy Perry has been criticized for her “odd” behavior during her Las Vegas residency. The singer has been accused of being “robotic” and “unengaged” during her performances, and some fans have even walked out of the show reports Daily Star.

In one particular performance, Perry was seen staring blankly into the audience while singing her hit song “Roar.” She also appeared to be lip-syncing at times, which further upset fans.

Some people have defended Perry, saying that she is simply trying to put on a good show. However, others believe that her behavior is a sign that she is struggling with her mental health.

This is not the first time that Perry has been criticized for her behavior. In 2017, she was accused of being “snobby” and “aloof” during an interview. She has also been open about her struggles with anxiety and depression.

It is unclear what is causing Perry’s behavior, but it is clear that it is affecting her career. Her Las Vegas residency has been met with mixed reviews, and some fans are even calling for it to be canceled.

Perry has not yet commented on the criticism. However, she is scheduled to perform in Las Vegas for the rest of the year. It remains to be seen if her behavior will improve.

According to Rolling Stone, Perry’s show is “quintessential Perry, who indulged the emotional, the over-the-top, the whimsical, the psychedelic, and even the cheesy over the course of 95 minutes”. However, some reviewers have found her antics to be too childish and campy, such as descending from the ceiling on a giant bed, interacting with a huge toilet and a face mask, and riding a red rocking horse.

Perry has defended her creative choices, saying that she wanted to create a “Perry Playland” that transports the audience into another dimension of rainbow fluff, heart-shaped confetti and larger-than-life objects. She also said that she drew inspiration from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Pee-wee’s Playhouse, and Pee-wee’s Big Adventure.

Perry’s fans, or KatyCats, have been supportive of her show, which features hits such as “Firework”, “Roar”, “Teenage Dream” and “I Kissed a Girl”. The residency has been extended until November 2023 due to popular demand, and Perry has announced that the final show will take place on November 4.

Whether you love it or hate it, Perry’s “Play” is certainly a spectacle that you won’t forget. If you want to catch her live in Las Vegas, you can buy your tickets at katyperry.com/tour.
