‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ song ‘Pasoori Nu’ faces backlash

'Satyaprem Ki Katha' song 'Pasoori Nu' faces backlash

‘Passori Nu’ remake in Satyaprem Ki Katha has been receiving backlashes, as talked about by the Pakistani singer Shae Gill.

The remake has been sung by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar which is a recreation of the superhit Pakistani number sung by Shae Gill and Ali Sethi. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani feature in the song in their movie Satyaprem Ki Katha.

Satya Prem Ki Katha is supposed to release in the theatres on June 29. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Sameer Vidwans, the romantic film reunites Kartik and Kiara after their 2022 hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film also stars Gajraj Rao and Supriya Pathak.

The song Pasoori Nu shows the two actors Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the movie Satyaprem Ki Katha twinning in white color and lip-syncing the lyrics.

The song was also shared by the actors on Instagram where Kartik Aryan wrote, “Adha hai Dil mera..Poora Tujhse Hove. Feel The Magic of Love with Arijit’s Midas Touch#PasooriNu Song.”

Pakistani singer Shae Gill thereby reacting to all the hate coming for Satyaprem Ki Katha song Pasoori Nu said that those who didn’t like the new song shouldn’t listen to it at all.

Clearing the doubts of her fans via Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Shae Gill said, “I have been getting a lot of questions regarding whether this was my decision. Guys, I don’t own the song, I don’t have the rights, so I didn’t sell it. I actually found out through you guys about the remake of the song.”

She further added that, “I also want to talk about the hate that people have been sending towards the new song. I understand that you all love the original Pasoori so much, I am so grateful for the love, I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am. But also at the same time, I don’t want you to be sending hate to someone else. Just look at it as a rendition rather than a remake. Maybe that will help. And if it’s something that you don’t like at all, I would say don’t listen to it. Instead of sending hate, don’t listen to it because not liking something and talking about it in your home is still fine but if you are publicly humiliating and insulting someone then it’s not very nice, is it?”
