As the cost of living continues to rise, a number of states are providing their residents with tax rebates or stimulus checks. Here is a list of the states that are currently sending out payments:
- Alaska: State residents’ annual payment from Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend will include an extra $650 Energy Relief Payment this year, for a total of $3,284.
- California: California’s Middle Class Tax Refund will provide payments of up to $1,050 to qualifying residents.
- Colorado: Colorado Cash Back will provide tax rebates of $750 for individual filers and $1,500 for joint filers.
- Delaware: Delaware is sending $300 relief checks to each adult resident.
- Georgia: Georgia is providing tax rebates of $250 for single filers, $375 for head of household filers, and $500 for married couples filing jointly.
- Hawaii: Hawaii is sending $300 stimulus checks to qualifying residents.
- Idaho: Idaho is providing tax rebates of $75 per family member or 12% of the household’s tax liability.
- Illinois: Illinois is providing individual income tax rebates of up to $500 and property tax rebates of up to $200.
- Indiana: Indiana is providing tax rebates of up to $150 for individual filers and $300 for joint filers.
- Maine: Maine is providing winter energy relief payments of $450 to eligible residents.
- Massachusetts: Massachusetts is providing tax rebates of up to $250 for individual filers and $500 for joint filers.
- Minnesota: Minnesota is providing tax rebates of up to $1,000 for individual filers and $2,000 for joint filers.
- New Jersey: New Jersey is providing tax rebates of up to $500 for individual filers and $1,000 for joint filers.
- New Mexico: New Mexico is providing tax rebates of up to $250 for individual filers and $500 for joint filers.
- New York: New York is providing tax rebates of up to $200 for individual filers and $400 for joint filers.
- Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania is providing tax rebates of up to $600 for individual filers and $1,200 for joint filers.
- Rhode Island: Rhode Island is providing tax rebates of up to $250 for individual filers and $500 for joint filers.
- South Carolina: South Carolina is providing tax rebates of up to $100 for individual filers and $200 for joint filers.
- Virginia: Virginia is providing tax rebates of up to $500 for individual filers and $1,000 for joint filers.
