Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar May Be Expelled From AAP

Former law minister of Delhi, Jitender Singh Tomar, who has been under allegations of a fake degree case, may be expelled from Aam Aadmi Party soon.

This is yet another big blow to the leader and party, after many more facts on the alleged fake degree case came up.

1. In a series of events, Tomar found himself in the wrong position, and despite the fact that Aam Aadmi Party was backing him initially; the party seems to have taken a step back after the investigations pointed new facts, a report on Times of India said.

2. His case may go the AAP Lokpal, which is likely to take a decision. A senior party member was quoted saying that Tomar’s case may be a warning to other party members that such things won’t be tolerated.

3. It has been also reported that CM Arvind Kejriwal is upset with the matter as he was assured by Tomar that all papers were in order.

4. Earlier on June 9, 2015, Tomar was arrested and taken into remand. What made the case even more disgraceful is the fact that the university from where Tomar apparently had done his degree has confirmed that the roll number is not in records.

5. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University, on June 10, 2015, said that former law minister’s degree is not from the institution.

6. In another setback, a Delhi court refused to give any relief to Tomar and dismissed the revision plea he had filed against the police remand.

7. Aam Aadmi Party has been in news for all the wrong reasons off late, with another leader Somnath Bharti recently embroiled in a domestic abuse case.
