Seema Haider has been the talk of the country lately. This woman had sneaked into India via Nepal on May 13 after flying from Karachi to Dubai and then to Kathmandu.
On Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs said that it is aware of the case of Seema Haider, who is a supposed Pakistani national who crossed over to India as she was in love with her partner with whom she fell in love over a gaming platform ‘PUBG‘. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that “We are aware of the matter.”
The matter is under investigation, although recently, she was presented before the court and is now out on bail. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “We are aware of the matter. She was presented before the court and is now out on bail. The matter is under investigation and we will give you further information if it comes. As of now, this is all I can say”
Seema Haider was arrested by the Gautam Buddha Nagar Police for illegally entering India via Nepal with her four children. Along with Seema Haider her partner Sachin Meena and his father were arrested for sheltering the illegal immigrants.
The three of them spent their four days in jail after which they were granted bail by the Gautam buddha Nagar district court.
Reports have confirmed that Seema Haider, along with her four children had been staying with Meena at his rented apartment in Rabupura in Greater Noida since May 13.
The UP Police has said that Seema Haider had sneaked into India via Nepal on May 13 after flying from Karachi to Dubai and then to Kathmandu. She had reached Greater Noida via Lucknow and Agra where Sachin Meena was waiting for her. The couple met at a hotel in March this year and spent their four days in the hotel with fake namesnames. The couple has also been questioned by the UP ATS was enquired about her real motives behind crossing into India illegally.
It has been reported that her Brother and Uncle had been serving the Pakistan Army and therefore Seema was enquired over claims of her brother and uncle serving in the Pakistani army. Furthermore she was asked by the ATS to read some lines in English which she read in quite an ‘impeccable’ manner.
When questioned about possibility of Haider being an agent of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, UP Special DG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said,”All agencies are doing their work. This matter is linked to two nations, it is not right to say anything unless there is sufficient proof. She had once been to jail and is now on bail. Further action is being taken”.
