Prabhas on ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ role: I’m the only comedian in ‘Project K’

In this movie starring Kamal Hassan and Amitabha Bachchan, Prabhas gets an idea of what his character is.

By Latha Srinivasan: Prabhas was a member of the San Diego Comic Con K or Kalki 2898 AD panel. He didn’t have much to say on stage, but in a short interview he talked about his role in the Hindu mythology sci-fi movie. The video has now gone viral.

Prabhas plays Lord Vishnu in the movie.

When asked about his character, he replied, “He’s a superhero but he’s really funny. I like the way Nagi created him. I think he’s the only funny guy in Project K. Nagi has emotion and the emotion in this movie is strong. I’m the only comedian in the movie.”

“Kalki 2898 AD” Written and directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame. The science fiction movie was released on the 50th anniversary of Vyjayanthi Movies. The movie was shot at Rs 600 crore and is the most expensive role in India. The music is by Santhosh Narayanan, the cinematography is by Djordje Stojiljkovic and the editing by kotagiri venkateswara Rao.
