“Kantara”, a Kannada-language action-thriller from Hombale Films, was one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema last year.
The budget of the movie was Rs 160 but earned around Rs 400 worldwide and put its star and director Rishab Shetty on the all India chart.
The makers announced a second episode in February 2023 to commemorate Kantara 2’s 100th day in theaters, and anticipation for “Kantara 2” has only increased since then.

The producer has closed the shooting period and will begin the first phase of filming on November 1.
Rishab Shetty and his team wrote the script and is currently in pre-production.

Rishab Shetty plays two roles – Shiva, the champion of Kambala, and his father (played by Daiva Kola).He also directed the film, which also starred Sapthami Gowda, Kishore,Achyuth Kumar and Pramod Shetty.
