India needs to score 304 runs to win the first ODI against South Africa. Winning the toss and batting first, the hosts scored a mammoth 303 runs, thanks to the blistering century by Devilliers.

Under immense scrutiny, team India has started it out against South Africa, in the 1st ODI at Green Park, Kanpur on October 11, 2015.

R Aswin struck early and got the wicket of Quinton de Kock, while Hashim Amla’s wicket to Hashim Amla. For now the Indian bowlers are eyeing the wicket of AB de Villiers.

After the debacle of the T20 Series, India will be looking ahead to find confidence in the fresh ODI series. While the visitors are high on all levels, the hosts will find the pressure to perform.

In terms of changes, South Africa has included Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel in the team, while India has included Stuart Binny.

Probably this time around R Ashwin will find some support, as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav have also been included.

The Indian batting lineup had a few issues, and probably openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma might want to change things from here.
