Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India, stated that ‘Safety-for-all’ is Hyundai’s top priority
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced that all Hyundai models sold in India will now come with airbags as standard, regardless of the model.
Hyundai says this is an ad that shows Hyundai’s commitment to safety. Even the company’s entry-level hatchbacks like the Grand i10 Nios will come with 6 airbags as standard.
Hyundai Motor India Chairman and CEO Unsoo Kim expressed his happiness with the development and said that “everyone’s safety” is Hyundai Motor’s top priority.
It is said that all Hyundai models and variants can now be modeled with airbags. We are also proud to announce that Hyundai VERNA has received the top five stars from Global NCAP for adult and child protection.
Currently, ‘safety for all’ is our top priority. We are proud to announce that 6 airbags are now standard on all models and variants. HMIL has also made significant progress in its approach to safety, with the Hyundai VERNA receiving five stars for adult and child protection from GNCAP.
We are not only a provider of smart solutions but also a provider of safer travel solutions. HMIL will continue its efforts to improve road safety standards in India, thereby making India safer for everyone. “
Hyundai Verna 5-star rating
The Hyundai Verna also received a 5-star rating under Global NCAP for Adult & Child Occupant Protection. This test was done under the new protocol, which is stricter than previous tests.
The crash test concluded that the vehicle’s design incorporates robust structural connectivity, ensuring optimal energy distribution during a collision. The car managed to score 5 stars in both adult and child protection.
The Hyundai Verna has over 30 Standard Safety Features and over 65 safety features, including advanced safety technologies such as Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS, Front Parking Sensors, Electronic Parking Brake, and TPMS (Highline).
Other competitors that have managed to score a high 5-star rating includes Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus. The Mahindra ScorpioN has also passed the crash test with a score of 5 stars.
