Once again, India – The Men In Blue has proved that they possess some extra killing instinct while playing against Pakistan in World Cup.
Yesterday, on March 19, 2016, India defeated Pakistan by a margin of six wickets, that too in front of legend Sachin Tendulkar, who was there in the VIP stand.
India successfully chased down the score of 119; thanks to Virat Kohli, who made a scintillating 55 off 37 balls.
At one stage, India faced the threat as Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina were dismissed in consecutive deliveries from Mohammad Sami. Later, Yuvraj Singh joined hands with Virat and sailed the ship in a steady manner.
The match was delayed to begin as rain showered slowly in and around Kolkata. Later, the toss was conducted at 08:15 PM and match referee decided to cut short the overs to 18.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who won the toss, decided to bowl first, and it pulled the spectators to a state of surprise.
His decision was justified by Indian bowlers, as they maintained the strict economy in the initial overs.
Pakistan lost their first wicket when they reached 38. Surprisingly, Boom Shahid Afridi entered the crease as one down, but he failed to recreate the magic which he showcased in the last match.
