The ninth season of Indian Premiere League better known as Vivo IPL 2016 will start rolling from April 09, 2016.
The tournament will begin with a grand inaugural ceremony, which will be soon followed by a match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants.
This year’s Premiere League will not be that cheerful for fans of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Both the teams are facing ban from the tournament, and they are being replaced by ‘Gujarat Lions’ and ‘Pune Supergiants’.

The league round of this year’s IPL will be conducted till May 22, 2016, and on May 24, qualifier one will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Maharastra Cricket Association Stadium will be the venue for Eliminator and Qualifier two scheduled to be played on May 25 and 27 respectively.
Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai will witness the high voltage final clash on May 29, 2016.
Pune and Gujarat team will be most benefited by the transfers conducted this year, as they got some key players from Chennai and Rajasthan.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane and R Ashwin will be key members for the Supergiants, while Bredon McCullum, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadega will join the Gujarat Army.
As always, Bangalore Challenge Royal Challengers is the team which seems to be strong in the cards. They can boast about some big names which include AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and Mitchell Starc.
Lindl Simmons and Andre Russell, West Indies’ World Cup Heroes are playing for Kolkata Night Riders and Mumbai respectively this year.
