The actress announced the happy news on her Instagram handle and also revealed that she’d deliver the baby in September of this year. Deepika shared an adorable poster with “September 2024″ written on it.

The poster also had children’s clothes, toys, and balloons as the border. Soon after Deepika shared the pregnancy announcement, fans and friends rushed to the comments section to congratulate the couple.
Vikrant Massey wrote, “OMGGGGGGG!!!! Bahut bahut shubhkamnaen aap dono ko!!!” Kriti Sanon commented, “Omg!!!! Congratulations, you two!!!” Among others, Sonam Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Anjali Anand, Neena Gupta, Bhumi Pednekar, and Angad Bedi also sent wishes to Deepika and Ranveer.
Deepika has been married to Ranveer for over five years, and their pregnancy rumors have been making headlines for a long time now.
Recently, a report by The Week claimed that Deepika is preparing for motherhood. According to a source the publication cited, “The actor is reportedly in her second trimester.”

Interestingly, the announcement also comes weeks after Deepika said that she wants to have kids with Ranveer. The actress was speaking to Vogue Singapore recently when she said, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.
“Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika Padukone was recently seen in Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. She now has several projects in her pipeline. She will be sharing the screen with Prabhas in “Kalki 2989 AD.”. Besides this, she will also be working on the Hindi remake of The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan. On the other hand, Ranveer Singh will soon be seen in the much-awaited “Don 3” along with Kiara Advani.
