Sonakshi Sinha has released the first look poster of her upcoming movie ‘Akira’ on her social networking site Twitter. The movie directed by AR Murugadoss is an action drama and for the first time, the actress will be seen in a different and intense look.
Akira was scheduled to be released on September 23 but due to the movie clashing with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Manmarziyaan’, it will now hit the screens on September 2.
The Khamoosh actor Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha took to Twitter to not only unveil the first poster of the movie, but she also tweeted about her excitement for the upcoming film.
She posted on her Twitter account, “Because YOU and I both want to see how @ARMurugadoss has transformed me in #Akira…So we are releasing on September 2!”
In the poster that was unveiled on the social media, Sonakshi Sinha looks revengeful and quite intense. For the action thriller movie the Tevar actress has also changed her hair color to red.
The Hindi action drama film is a remake of Tamil film ‘Mouna Guru‘, which will have Sonakshi Sinha playing the main protagonist in it.
Other than her it will also feature Konkona Sen Sharma, Mithun Chakraborty and Amit Sadh who will be seen playing supporting roles in the movie.

The actress is quite eager for her upcoming film as she will be doing some hardcore martial art stunts for Akira. Also AR Murugadoss earlier projects include Aamir Khan starer Ghajini and Akshay Kumar’s Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
Meanwhile, the actress Kitty is quite full as she will be seen in ‘Force 2’ opposite John Abraham this year. The Tevar actor will also star in ‘Namastey England’ opposite Akshay Kumar.
Whereas in the upcoming flick ‘Noor’ she will be playing a hardcore journalist. Rumors are also floating that the actress will star alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the remake of Rajesh Khanna’s ‘Iteffaq’.
Shahrukh Khan will produce the film.
